RECEIVE WORD OF DEATH OF REV. H. A. B. WINTHER (Special to Press-Gazette) GILLETT, Wis. - Word has been received in this village of the recent death of the Rev. H. A. B. Winther, 62, former resident of Oconto and well known here through his frequent visits before moving to Minneapolis. The Rev. Winther died March 25, at Hendricks, Minn, after suffering a stroke March 23. He had just returned from the west where he had been since Jan. 15, and was on a call in Hendricks when he became ill. The deceased was born in Christiana, Norway, 1876, and moved to Goodhue county, Minn., with his parents. He was a graduate of the Augsburg seminary, Minneapolis, Minn., and had accepted calls at Hawley, Minn., Los Angeles, Calif., Henning, Minn., Climax and Hillsboro, N. D., Peshtigo, Clintonville and Oconto. He was in Oconto seven years. Funeral services were held March 29 in Minneapolis, with burial in Minneapolis. Survivors are his wife, five sons, A. I. Winther, county superintendent of Oconto county; Albin, Oconto, and Harold, Carl and Waldemar, Minneapolis; his mother, Mrs. P. Winther, Minneapolis; one brother, Albin, Nempah, Idaho.
