Grue Church project committee to host "Family History Week" written by Pamela Knudson June 9, 2022 From south western North Dakota, the Waddington Brothers have been performing together since 2004. In the past they toured the United States and Canada with their family as The Waddington Family. They have performed with such notable artists as The Kruger Brothers, Ron Block and Bobby Hicks. The Waddington Brothers are a versatile acoustic group with a musical style that ranges from traditional hard driving bluegrass to the mellow sound and dynamic western harmonies reminiscent of Bob Nolan and the Sons of the Pioneers.
Dear Friends of Grue Lutheran Church,
Once again, you are being contacted because your family most likely has a connection to the church. Please forward this information along to your many cousins, siblings and friends who also have a connection. The plan is to find a person or a group to pay $5,000 for an official ND historical marker for Mancur Olson, have him awarded the ND Theodore Roosevelt Rough Rider Award and be named to the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame, all of which may increase our chances of being named to the National Register of Historic Places, which will, in turn, increase our chances of receiving one or more of several available renovation grants. The Grue Church Project Committee and others have been busy!
The Gyda Varden Lodge of Sons of Norway in Grand Forks voted to submit Mancur Olson's name to be included in the Norwegian-American Scandinavian Hall of Fame. You and your local Sons of Norway can do the same. (submission form attached). Thank you, Grue Church Project Committee |
